Ekkono Appoints Patrik Durvik as CEO to Accelerate Commercial Growth

Varberg, Sweden, May 20, 2025 – Ekkono Solutions AB, a global pioneer in Edge AI software, has appointed Patrik Durvik as CEO, effective March 1, 2025.

Patrik brings over two decades of leadership experience in the global software industry, including senior roles at Autodesk and most recently Hexagon, where he worked in autonomous reality capture technologies. His background also includes years as a management consultant driving transformation in technology companies.

“I’m excited to join Ekkono at this stage of its journey,” says Patrik Durvik. “It’s clear that Ekkono possesses world-leading technology in a rapidly growing market. My focus is to unlock its commercial potential and create lasting value for our customers and partners.”

Ekkono’s software enables AI to run directly on connected devices — making physical products smarter, more adaptive, and predictive. As industries adopt AI at the edge, Ekkono is helping product OEMs in automation and automotive embed intelligence directly into their offerings.

“In our search, we looked for a leader with strong commercial drive, technical insight, and the ability to scale a business while staying true to our culture,” says Petra Sundström, Chairwoman of the Board. “With Patrik, we found all of that. The board and the team are thrilled to have him onboard.”

Patrik’s top priority is to build and scale Ekkono’s go-to-market capabilities to meet rising demand. According to Markets and Markets, the global Edge AI software market is projected to grow at a 24.7% CAGR from $1.91 billion in 2025. Ekkono addresses this market through both direct sales and strategic partnerships with solution providers like Etteplan (NASDAQ HEL: ETTE) and technology partners such as Infineon (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY).
